Baffa Babba Danagundi has been unjustly accused of leading the disruption and looting of properties during the recent protests in Kano State.
These allegations are driven by political opponents seeking to damage Danagundi’s reputation for their own ends.
In reality,Danagundi had no involvement in the protests’ violent activities or property damage. Throughout the demonstrations, Danagundi maintained a stance of peace and order. Notably, during the protests, he submitted his appointment letter to the emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, as a sign of respect and solidarity.
At that moment, Danagundi waa accompanied by thousands of youths at the Emirs palace, where he publicly called for peaceful protest. He recognized the protesters grievances and pledged to relay their concerns to the president of Nigeria.
Danagundi’s commitment to peace was evident as he assured the crowd of his belief in Nigeria’s potential under President Tinubu’s administration. His track record demonstrates his ability to organize large groups without incident, highlighting his dedication to responsible and constructive engagement.
We call on the public to disregard these baseless rumors and acknowledge Danagundi’s genuine efforts to address community concerns and maintain order.
